Eapg Two pieces circa 1850 open compote and plate , clear flint glass, petal and loop, probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co, deeply scalloped rims, interesting dropped bottom loop with beveled flute body, nicely ground pontil, assembled set, clear glass / plate shows purple tint. Compote - pulled-in rim, fluted loop petticoat base/standard attached at bowl.Compote - 7.5 dia, 5.5 tall. Plate 9.5 dia, 1.75 high. Compote-two base chip/flake, Plate- small nick at bottom of two rim/edge scallop. This is an early version of the Loop pattern made 1860-90 by several different companies - Boston & Sandwich Glass, Portland, Central GC, Doyle & Co, McKee, OHara and others - Using varied names - Seneca, Petal, Yuma, #145, #9, etc. Selection of items from local estates.
