Welcome to ANTIQUES & MOORE! This listing is for a lovely American glass cruet with Gorham silver plate top, c. The syrup has a nice all-over cut design in a honey-comb pattern. The silver plate top has a shell design on the top of the lid and the silver plated handle attaches to the glass at the collar and at a narrow band that encircles the base.

The hinge is tight and the lid opens and closes correctly with thumb hold. Marked with an anchor in a shield "punch" and "Gorham, 050, Silver S". This mark was used on silver plate during the 20th Century. Measures 4" high (at spout) with a 2" diameter base.

This nice cut glass syrup is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws reflecting only minimal signs of wear. You may possibly find a minor no-harm nick on one of the cut edges, however, we did not find any. The silver polishes beautifully with no noted flaws.
