This is extremely nice example, of the Aberdeen pattern, by The T. He glass is crystal clear and is of the highest quality.
This piece is heavy (for its size) and weighs 2lb, 5oz +. Utting is very sharp, deep and precise. The polishing looks to be wood wheel and is very refractive. Size is 9" diameter x 1 1/8" high. Appears to be in factory original condition and shows no evidence of. An example of this pattern is pictured in the Jane S.
Spillman "The American Cut Glass Industry" book on page 63. I have included a picture, of the page, from the book. Super piece and much better in person and much better than my amateur photography shows! If you have any questions or need additional pictures; please ask and I'll try to take and/ or answer if I can. Side note: an excellent affordable example of this pattern for any collection.I want your item to arrive in the same condition as it left. There are many pieces still to go; so it will take some time. Quality of items will range from above average to outstanding. Most items will be American brilliant with some brilliant period European color as well. I will give as much "known" detail about an item as I can.
This will include maker, pattern, quality, any defects and/ or damage. Most items will be from my personal collection. I will start the description for each lot with one of the following: Part, Re-sale or Personal Collection. This way you will know where it is coming from.. Finally, I will describe items with as much detail and accuracy as possible, but there is a small chance I may miss something minor. This is not a reflection on the condition or quality of any of the items for sale.
