This is for an Antique Flint Glass Miniature Toy Sparking Whale Oil Lamp w/ a Rare Toy Plate Checkered Base ca. The globular font is attached to a stem with a single small solid knop. The stem is attached to an early toy or miniature Boston Sandwich "checkered" plate, which bears a pontil mark in the center (photo #6).

4 1/2" high, 2 1/8" wide at the base, and weight is 4.6 ounces. Condition is excellent with just a couple flat, shallow chips on the rim of the base.

An uncommon and desirable piece of Boston Sandwich glass in excellent condition. Unless we are snowed in.
