This is for a Lacy Footed Sugar Bowl and Lid ca. 1840 with the rare Two-headed Eagle/Shield/Basket of Fruit and Flowers pattern. Dimensions are approximately 5 1/2" tall with lid, 4 7/8" wide at the top of the bowl, and 2 3/4 wide at the base. The rim of the bowl is comprised on numerous lacy ribbed scallops, and the base has 32 even serrations. Weight is a hefty 31.9 oz.
Condition is Good with loss of some rim scallops and wear to some of the others (photos 5,6, and 7); also there is a short hairline to the perimeter of the thick lid (photo #9). This is a rare and desirable piece of lacy glass with a rare historical design. Unless we are snowed in.
