Antique Flint Glass Whale Oil Lamp Small, withburner, pontil EAPG Boston Sandwich
This is for an antique flint glass whale oil lamp ca 1850's. It consists of a blown onion-shaped font fixed to a doubly tapered stem fixed to a circular pontiled base. 5 1/2" high, 3 7/16" at the base, and weighs 19.0 ounces. Condition is Excellent with no significant flaws that I can detect, and it is PONTILED on the underside of the foot and has the expected wear on the underside of the base (photo #7). With a period brass "tv-antenna" 2-tube burner with a soldered repair.
