Art Deco DAUM D'Avesn LORRAIN Verrerie French Frosted Glass 12 Plate Charger

  

This listing is for an Old Vintage 1920s 1930s Art Deco French Frosted Art Glass Large 12 (30 cm) Plate / Charger. It was made by the Daum company " Lorrain Verrerie de Belle-Etoile" or "Verreries D'Art Lorrain" of Croismare, France.

In 1927 Pierre D'Avesn was hired by Daum as designer for this new company, which only lasted until the early 1930s. This plate is signed with embossed "LORRAIN NANCY FRANCE" on outer edge (photo 5). It features a flower in the center surrounded by geometric designs.

It stands on 4 small feet. It is in great condition overall with no cracks or repairs.

There is one flake chip on top outer rim (photo 11). No other chips or damage.

It is big, thick, and heavy weighing over 3.5 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged double boxed. It measures 11 7/8" (30.2 cm) across, 1 1/2" (3.7 cm) tall, and 7 (18 cm) across feet at the base.
