Etched with the Waterford Logo on the bottom rim and has JIM O'LEARY'S Signature beside the logo also the year ofmanufacture and the year selected by the Waterford Society Collection. These luncheon plates are 8" circular and about 7/8" tall.

On our first trip to Ireland years ago we visited Waterford and looking at the beautiful blown Cut Glass designs we became hooked. Purchasing more than we could afford it started us on a journey collecting Waterford and joining and following the Waterford Society. We first met our friend Jim O'Leary at Andrew Morton's store in Knoxville, TN and annually would meet there and at Macy's in Washington, DC (see Photo at Macy's VIP signing).

Jim O'Leary spent more than 50 years dedicated to WaterfordCrystal working his way up from a teenage Apprentice to International Ambassador to become a driving force for both Design and Quality. Described byhis colleagues as enchanting and gentlemanly, he approached design as a "whole way of life". He often visited us here at Crystal Classics during his global travels on behalf of the Waterford brand and we have always considered him a beloved& true friend. He will be missed dearly. His craft won him legions of fans around theworld particularly with crystal collectors in the United States, Europe andAustralia. The Araglin collection that he designed, manufactured now for more than three decades, is second only to Lismore as one of Waterford Crystal's most famous and successful patterns.

Jim was an example for all of us - one of dedication, excellence and passion in his work. He was an example of joy, kindness and compassion in his life with his family, friends and colleagues. Over the last two and a half years, as he valiantly fought cancer, he was an example of courage and humility. This issome of the last of the collection.
