DEER AND PINE TREE 1886 McKee American (8) Eight EAPG Glass Plates. Condition is Used - Excellent. This is another special find from the Bertram Roland Backstrom Collection Which included over 25 pieces of Karen Karnes pottery. From McKee & Brothers glass company, this Early American Pressed Glass footed jar is in the Deer & Pine pattern (aka Deer & Doe) which was produced from 1886 - 1890.

They are clear glass and feature the male and female deer standing in the pines on each side. These pieces are in excellent vintage condition. Manufacture rough edges - very rough around top rims; noticeable straw marks - especially across the inside base of one; and, enclosed bubbles.
